Prince Asaka
Prince Yasuhiko Asaka was a minor prince, born as a part of the Fushimi-mo-miya, one of the houses of the imperial dynasty. As the other prince, he was expected to have a career in the military fields, after twelve hard working years, in 1922 he became the lieutenant-colone of the Japanese army.
In 1937 he was transferred to China, to help the Japanese army there. He became the temporary commander oft he Japanese army outside of Nanking, and his last command in this position, between 2 and 6 of December, 1937, to kill everybody. Later these few days were known as the Rape of Nanking. After the massacre he was recalled to Japan, but he stayed in the War Council until the end of the war. |
